Ed is married to Adelle and they have two children (Cyara 11 and Daniel Joshua 9). They live in Discovery, west of Johannesburg. Adelle is currently teaching at Kings School West Rand, she teaches Afrikaans to Grades 9, 10 & 11.

Cyara is in Grade 5 and DJ is in Grade 3.
